I'm a happy user and big fan of the BaBo Organizer System from Willi3D . This is a custom insert that fits his Drawer Modul 60 perfectly.

I prefer the larger stepped filament samples to be able to check the translucency at different thickness levels. A very common Filament sample are the ones used by the mobile carry box of Simply Models & Extrutim . I wanted to have a large assortment in my BaBo Drawer so this insert was born. The insert for bulk storage at home, the carry boxes when I want to take them with me.

My inserts match the original dimensions of the BaBo Organizer and occupie a 3x3 grid in the 60 Drawer. There are different plates with labels for different types of filaments.

I do like the idea of bigger stepped filament samples but these seem excessively big

I agree that they're on the larger side. I was thinking multiple times if i should create a new sample, or adapt existing ones that many people might already have printed. I wanted to have all the thickness steps + an extra area for a printed label with the filament details like this one has. My own version would have been about 2cm shorter by removing the handle and making the sticker area smaller, but that wouldn't have been enough to reduce the grid size by one.
