Description

This is an insert for the Ikea Samla 22L drybox to improve filament spool storage (not designed to print out of the box).

The insert prevents the spools from rolling around and sitting directly in the desiccant (and therefore pulling beeds of desiccant out that stuck to the spool when removing it).

You will need 2x bases and 4x rods. The bases simply clip together and the rods just sit on top (you can glue the rods to the base, but it's not necessary).

Printed in 0.2 mm layer height, 3 perimiters, 25% infill, and no supports.

Hi Thomas, just fits perfectly and is exactly the right insert for the Samla 22l. Even 5x 1kg SUNLU spools fit next to each other. It would be cool to have a small, not so high container for a hygrometer in the middle ;-) Printed with ERYONE PLA gray Thanks for the great make... Dirk

I pulled it into Fusion to add some more recessess to shave of a bunch of grams of filament on the spool holders. Overall really great and thoughtful design, fits like a glove, love it.

The upper rounded part of the rods are not so smooth in the 3mf file. By activating "Variable layer height" and setting Quality / Speed = 0 and "Smooth", you get a much smoother upper rod top.
