Description

Epic Drago Sword - Multi-Part Cosplay/Display Prop 🐉⚔️

Description:

Unleash the power of the dragon! Introducing the Drago Sword, a stunning, multi-part blade inspired by legendary beasts and designed for 3D printing. This sword is perfect for completing your fantasy cosplay, adding to a collection, or serving as an epic display piece on your wall.

This sword is designed to be printed in sections and assembled, allowing you to create an impressive, full-size prop even on standard 3D printers. Print, assemble, and wield the might of the Drago!

Key Features:

  • Multi-Part Design: Prints in manageable sections for compatibility with most FDM printers.
  • Easy Assembly: Includes Pegs to help with accurate part joining.
  • Optimized for Printing: Parts are oriented to balance print quality, detail visibility, and strength.

Assembly Instructions:

  1. Print All Parts: Print all included STL files using the recommended settings below.
  2. Clean Parts: Remove any support material and clean up edges if necessary for a good fit. Test fit the parts before applying glue.
  3. Assemble & Glue: Use a strong adhesive
  4. Apply glue to the connecting surfaces and alignment features of the next section.
  5. Slide the next section into place and press the parts together firmly.
  6. Repeat for all blade and handle sections, ensuring a good connection.
  7. Attach the guard pieces and pommel according to the design.
  8. Cure: Allow the glue to cure completely according to the manufacturer's instructions before handling extensively.
  9. Finishing (Recommended): For the best results, consider sanding seams, using filler primer, and painting your Drago Sword to bring out all the amazing details!

Printing Recommendations:

  • Material: PLA or PLA+ works well for detail and ease of printing. For increased durability (especially if handled often), consider PETG, ABS, or ASA (ensure good ventilation for ABS/ASA). Silk PLA can provide a nice metallic effect.
  • Layer Height: 0.15mm - 0.2mm is recommended for a good balance of detail and print time. Consider smaller layer heights for intricate hilt/pommel details.
  • Infill: 15-25% infill (Grid, Gyroid, or Cubic recommended) combined with 3-4 walls/perimeters provides excellent strength for prop parts.
  • Supports: Supports are likely needed for overhangs, especially on the guard, pommel details, and potentially some blade features depending on the orientation. Tree/Organic supports can save material and be easier to remove.

  • Orientation: Parts should be pre-oriented in the STL files for suggested printing. Blade sections are often printed vertically; other parts may be oriented flat or vertically based on design details and strength requirements.

Safety Note:

  • This model is intended as a display piece or cosplay prop. It is NOT designed or suitable for sparring, hitting objects, or rough play. Printed parts can be sharp or break under stress, potentially causing injury. Please handle responsibly.
