Description

Description

Ski vise. For working on waxing skis or fixing your skis/snowboard.

You can put your ski/snowboard vertically or horizontally on the vise.

The units of the drawing in the picture are mm.

Material

  • PETG (PLA should also work) for main body, screw, and screw insert
    • Note that the screw and screw insert must be printed with 100% infill.
    • In the print profile, I also add a modifier in the clamp body to add more infill for clamp strength.
  • TPU 95A for pads

Change log

  • V1 (2023-12-23): First upload
  • V1.1 (2024-02-13): Top TPU pads were upgraded
    • Increased top surface friction as I found the ski tends to slide during scraping.
    • Rounded edge to prevent hurting your hand when using it.
    • Compatible with V1 body. (For those who have printed the V1 version, you can simply select `pads v3.stl_1` and `pads v3.stl_2` from the TPU plate in the print profile. Remember you usually need 4 pads as one vise requires 2 pads to work.

I printed it out with 0.65 in Height dimension for A1 mini. however the screw and screw insert is not fit with 100% infill. tried three times still no luck. any suggestions?

For A1 mini the print bed is smaller. Instead of scale it down, which compromised the accuracy and usability (you need some clearance for ski's boot mount), I will try using `cut` function in Bambulab (and add some connectors), so you can split the build into two sheets. In the end, simply super glue them together.
