Description

this is a replacement drawer handle for the 2 & 3 drawer packout system by Milwaukee. i created this on tinkercad so it could use some improvements by a more skillful modeler but this has been working just fine for me for some months now with daily rough use. (contractor)

you can edit the text to have it say whatever you want.

be sure to select a font style that you nozzle will be able to finely print. i recommend turning Arachne wall generator on to help capture the fonts with thinner lines

INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO EDIT TEXT…

click on objects

right click on text_shape

select “edit text”

change the text, font style and size to your liking

once you have done this select the drawer handle model

click “F” on the keyboard and lay the model on the face with the text.

you are now ready to slice and print this. the text has a depth of .4mm (2 layers when sliced at .2 layer height)

if you want to print multiple at once, copy and paste the handle before editing. you can fit up to 9 at a time on a single plate.

i printed these in PLA but perhaps PETG or ABS would be better since they have more flex.

again, i have not had issues with mine.

i hope you enjoy as much as i have, this is my first project uploaded to share on the interwebs. cheers

Motivate me to improve and make more things and provide them for free to all! cheers to my fellow Milwaukee fanatics

I really like the easy of editing the text for this file. Really feels nice to do. I like this handle very much, i do have one question though, mine seem to stick out a little and are not flush, and cannot seem to push it in any further without breaking them, are they designed that way, or am i just not getting them in right lol...

I just printed and found the same issue, it's because the tabs don't line up with the original fully. Needs a minor re-design to suit better. Could be a shrinkage difference between PLA (what it was deisgned using) and PETG perhaps? (I've only been printing a couple weeks so not sure)

Replying to @WKElectrical :
i just seen your comments, i looked at mine, they don't stick out anymore than the original black ones do, but to make it less obvious, i will fillet the leading edges since they are sharp 90s. i made these in tinker cad and that is hard to do in there but i am currently learning fusion 360 so let me give it a go and update the model. thanks for pointing this out. also, all the tabs on mine line up just fine. i have it on multiple boxes purchased at different time so it must be a material shrinkage issue and not a packout model difference. i printed in pla, i figures since these are held in place and not under load that would be fine, even in the Texas heat. mine live in a black enclosed trailer that gets hot and no issues thus far. perhaps abs or tpu would be better. but i havent tried anything other than PLA for these.

I printed these out today and like the other user they would not fit, they wont push in all of the way. The reason is the top part where the tabs are is a little too thick to slide in fully, if you look inside the packout drawer it has a little bit of a slot it has to go into. I used a razor and sliced some off at an angle and then they went right in. The tabs lined up fine.

a bevel on that bottom edge would make installing these easier but for the ones i have printed, they fit just fine with no knifing needed. it is a tight fit but that is just the nature of the tight tolerance. a few taps with a soft head hammer would help in the installation of these.

I found clicking on the text and then using the Text option sorted the issue out and let me edit it. I also clicked move and set the x and z to 0 to centre the text properly

Thanks so much for taking the time to create this. For those asking for fusion 360 files, I remove the text, from OP's file, in Bambu Lab, imported it as a mesh in Fusion, then cut / re-extruded the text.
