Here is a Batman-themed shadowbox I created using layered 3D printing. The design captures the Dark Knight’s iconic silhouette against the backdrop of the Bat-Signal, giving the piece a striking depth and dramatic effect. Each layer is carefully crafted to bring out the details, with a combination of black, blue, and white filaments to enhance the contrast. This shadowbox makes a perfect display piece for any Batman fan, adding a touch of Gotham to any space!
It's easy to print, and it uses common colors:
- White
- Black
- Light gray
- Dark blue
- Slate blue
You can use any type of filament you have!
I should mention that I have no 3D modeling skills at all. Before this, I had no idea how to create a 3D shadowbox. That was until I discovered MakerLab's Shadowbox Maker tool. It doesn’t require any 3D modeling experience—just select the areas you want to print on a 2D image and assign them to different layers, and you’ll get a beautiful shadowbox. It’s so much fun!
