I Love DERRY Balloon

This should be familiar to anyone who's read or seen an adaptation of Stephen King's “IT”.

As shown, printed with Overture Red PLA Professional and Bambu Matte Ivory White PLA, with Bambu Support W for… er, the supports. I chose to print it on its back at the angle shown to make sure the text and the heart came out cleanly and weren't touched by supports. I'd never used the Support PLA before and it worked really well. There's just some slight roughness to the back of the balloon and the support all came off cleanly with minimal effort over a few minutes.

I also chose to use the PLA Cool Plate and glue stick rather than textured or smooth PEI, just because I was really worried about adhesion printing in that orientation. Probably would have been fine on the PEI plates, though.

Now I need some form of a stand – preferably one that looks like a string somehow – to display it. If I find one or create one I'm happy with, I'll post an update.
