A relative wanted hippo cupcake toppers for a child's birthday. Since the child was very young, the two additional requirements were 1) large enough to pass the “choke tube” test 2) No sharp or “stabby bits”. That meant the typical thin and pointy “stalks” needed to be changed to something rounded that couldn't snap off.
There are five effective colors with the “shadows” achieved by using a top layer of the cheek/ear color with a layer of black underneath to darken it. This worked well for most color combinations, but it's easy enough to change the “Shadow Upper” color to that of the skin if that looks more pleasing.
Recommend printing a single one to calibrate the filaments and pick which colors work best. If you see excessive gaps around the shapes, run Flow Rate and Flow Dynamics calibrations for the filaments. Manual is best (and the auto ones are unreliable on the textured build plates).
Finer detail could be obtained using the 0.2mm nozzle, but the print time will increase significantly.
