Description

X/P Series PTFE Release at Input XPPR

Anxiety Relief and Improved Workflow When Removing the AMS!

The XPPR release button is designed to effectively disconnect the PTFE tube from the buffer input. The small ridge on the button ensures the button stays securely attached to the buffer during removal. This feature allows for the AMS removal to be done from the front of the machine.

The hub version has two different hole sizes. The outer hole is marked “OUT” for easy identification.

Removing the PTFE from the Buffer:

  1. Ensure the filament is retracted in the AMS unit.
  2. Use an Allen wrench or a suitable removal tool to push the quick-connect fitting located inside the input hole.
  3. Gently pull the PTFE tube out toward the outside of the buffer.

Installing the Release Button:

  1. Insert the release button at a slight angle and work it into place.
  2. It should fit easily. Please note that print tolerance and machine variations may affect the retention ability, but it works well on my machine.

PTFE Removal Instructions:

  1. Press the XPPR release button.
  2. Pull the tube.
  3. Enjoy a well-deserved coffee break.

Embrace the ease of this process and rediscover your peace of mind!
