Vacuum hose adapter to go from my Makita miter saw to my Ridgid shop vac. OD of the Makita dust port is 37.52mm (+/-) and the OD of the Ridgid vacuum hose end is 57.52mm (+/-) I did not bother to try to measure and taper of the dust port or vacuum hose end, but the adapter fits snugly and does not require any tape or shimming. This adapter may work for other combinations of dust port & hose, but I have not compared dimensions because I only needed to make one for my specific tools. My Makita miter saw is a model LS1011. I hope this is useful for someone else!
