Great design. I have one question for you. You have a specific shape to the hole for the power and a small post just inside, I assume for help positioning the power connector. Have you designed it around a specific connector?
I had to change a couple values:
Reduced infill to 10% gyroid
Walls to 2
reset the first layer line width (this was causing adhesion problems with bambu basic pla)
2 first layer walls (wanted better adhesion and this helped)
Slightly lowered first layer speed (don’t think it made any difference)
I didn’t need the back, no intention of installing LED.
Looks great! Strange that you were having adhesion issues. Are you cleaning your buildplate with dishsoap and water or with IPA? Dishsoap and water works better if you're using IPA. I keep the first layer line at .3 to get a nice fine 1st layer. it also helps to fill gaps with the thicker lines on the following layers.
Yep, always cleaning them. Confused me since I never had problems but watched it on the second attempt and noticed how thin it was printing and those lines just were not sticking all that well. Corners would life and get pulled. Since I used a textured sheet don't really see any issues with gaps, in fact looking up close I'm impressed just how clean it looks.
How long of a light string do you use? Do they clip inside somehow? Do you have to add the usb c plug or can i just use the wire that comes with light?
I can't remember how long the strip of lights is. Usually it's about 90cm.
I solder on the usb c module myself because that's my preference. But you can feed the led strip through the hole on the side leaving the wire out.
Using the adhesive on the back of the LEDs, fasten it to the inside perimeter of the lightbox and cut off the remaining LEDs on the cut line that's printed on the led strip. To be safe, use some hot glue to help keep the LEDs in place
Thanks so much. I am new at using the Ams to print multiple colors. when it's on the plate it should show white on bottom and sides black correct.? I was trying to slice it last night but it would not go past 15 percent. I am gonna try more tonight.
it'll print face down on the build plate. it's always best to use the customize option (hex symbol to the right of the build plate in Bambu Studio) to arrange the colour sequence. start the first layer with white.
are you using your own print profile? if so I suggest using my profile. it's been tested thought hundred of Lightbox prints so will be a good base for you to use if creating your own profile
