Description

Update: Fixed the size of the lid!

Snack Dispenser

The Dispenser is fully printable! I would recommend using a real 20mm x 10mm spring because the printed one is a little too stiff. But as you can see in the gif it still works as intended! The Spring is already pre-supported so dont add supports!

PLEASE REMOVE THE SUPPORTS FROM THE SPRING! Check the second picture to see how it should look like.

REMINDER: When printing with PETG always use a textured plate or glue stick!

I would love to get some feedback and maybe even some improvements!

Updated after all the comments below: It finally works as expected. First I did something wrong printing wise, afterwards the model created fixed an issue I reported. That 5 star rating is very well deserved. Great job and thanks again!

Thank you for the constructive feedback. As mentioned in the description, I recommend using a real spring, as a printed one may not fully replace the desired functionality. That it doesn't work at all for you seems to be an exception, as it appears to function for me (as seen in my GIF) or for other users. I'll definitely adjust the lid size; thank you for bringing the issue to my attention. Honestly, I find a 1-star rating a bit harsh, but of course, that's up to you :)

I don't want to sound harsh or rude, sorry for that. But how should I rate a print that is not useable for me because of the flaws? 🤔 I'm happy to print a new lid and give it another try with a real spring (need to check where I can purchase one, I don't want to purchase ten of those). And for sure I will update my rating afterwards. But right now, just from my own personal experience, I don't recommend printing it.

@mr_svzi It's not about being rude or harsh, your question is completely valid. The print itself prints clean, without any structural flaws in the supports nor the components. The mechanism itself also should work with a normal spring. Thus, in my view, awarding it 1 star might be a bit exaggerated, but opinions can certainly differ. :) I'll fix the lid as soon as I can to ensure future users don't encounter similar issues. However, there's no need for you to go out of your way to purchase extra springs just to „give me another chance“. I appreciate your constructive feedback and will work on improving the lid, and if feasible, even the spring. Thank you for bringing this to my attention. edit: sorry, just a random thought - did you remove the supports off of the spring before trying to use it ?
