I think this simple design is actually better than the over thought out ones out there. The problem with the other designs is they catch the poop great but sometimes it gets caught on the poop stop itself and on multiple color prints with multiple purges I've had an over night print completely clog my chute, purging filament all the way up to the nozzle and bending it. This design allows for more space for the purge to fall with virtually nothing for it to get caught on...
