Description
Hello everyone, this is the V2 updated version of the KYZ Pastamatic Lite v1 motor upgrade.
The “KYZ PastaLite v1 Motor Upgrade Remix V2.3mf” print profile include all you need to print the latest upgrade that addresses most of your requests about consistency and assembly of this remix.
Main Changes are:
- The motor housing now has two teeths and lock properly on the bracket.
- The housing leg is now incorporated with the housing making the assembly super stable.
- The speed potentiometer fits properly the housing hole which is now 8 mm in diameter.
- Even if not born for this purpose the housing and the bracket may accomodate a coaxial motor (fixed with just few screws).
Be aware that I'm still keeping the old files and descriptions for those of you who wants to sticks with the older version.
PLEASE, READ THE DESCRIPTION IN FULL BEFORE PURCHASING THE COMPONENTS!
The upgrade basically use a bracket to attach a motor and its electronics to the body of the KYZ Pastamatic Lite v1 and rotate the spools at the chosen speed. The motor as well as the speed controller can be purchased at the links listed in the other parts.
12 Volts 1,5 Amperes power supply is not included and must be purchased separately (I personally used the 12v power supply of a Vodafone station that is capable of 2.0 Amps of current).
Hope this could be helpful in automating the KYZ Pastamatic Lite v1.
The screws that hold the motor in place are usually provided with the motor and are 8 Phillips screws M3x6.
Please let me know if you need more information or documentation for the upgrade.
Update 03-20-2025: Just added a small STL for a stabilising feet (look in the CAD files folder). This helps to keep the entire Pastamatic LIte properly standing. Just slide it into the motor direction switch part of the housing Hope this solve the issue.
IMPORTANT: The motor to be used in this upgrade is the one with an eccentric shaft and not the one with an axial shaft (as shown in the picture gently provided by @AJSesq).

IMPORTANT: A new housing with locking tooth and ventilation grille was added! Please use this one in place of the original one if you want to have a bit of cooling for the motor and also have a more stable closing of the housing itself.
