Description

Adjustable Phone/Tablet Holder with modular structure.

Extend/Reinforce the arm as you want!

------------------------------------ UPDATES ------------------------------------

Update (2025.07.13)

- Version 2 of this design is released as Customizable Mechanical Arm! ( ← click the link)

I highly recommend printing version2. It's improved in many aspects :)

- Major upgrades : 1) Base improved (no more glue needed) 2) Joints improved (simpler, easier to adjust pose)

- arm from version 1 is fully compatible. hands are compatible as well. For those who are using version 1, feel free to upgrade your model with version 2 components!

Update (2025.03.15)

1. Bolts reinforced
2. holderHand DOF increased from 2 to 4. Now z-axis swivel available!
along with that, holderJoint got standardized for modularity. bigger_holderHand modified as well.
3. wall-mount bracket added. Check modification print profiles.
4. Print profile setting modified to reduce the filament usage.
5. Description page simplified. Assembly guide pdf file added. Please read the assembly guide file thoroughly!!

Update (2025.02.25)

1. print profile for the “bigger holder hand” added. Now you can use the grasp-mode on bigger devices as well! This would be handy for those who wish to “look up” at the monitor.

2. print profile for the “stronger base” added. Assembly process is almost identical to the default base. Refer to the model pictures on the top for an examplary usage.

Note : For tablets or phones, the default base is sufficient. However if you plan to hold something much heavier, the default base might fail since the base cannot be reinforced unlike the arm structure. Therefore, replace the base with the stronger version if needed.

Update (2025.02.24)

base_clamp_bolt infill increased to 100%

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Main Features :

  • It can hold phone and even heavy tablet reliably
  • You can extend / reinforce the arm as you want thanks to the universal modular structure
  • holding hand provides two modes - 1) grasp mode 2) put-on mode
  • the holder can be mounted on the desk / shelf / near bed with the clamp

Assembly guide :

  • Refer to the link below to print the clamp. Check out other applications of this modular clamp as well!

From the link, choose the clamp with the desired parameter and print vertical/horizontal adaptors as well.

  • When connecting bolt_rod and bolt_head, make sure the rod is screwed in completely. If the indicator line is visible, it means that the rod is not screwed in completely. Use connection aid tool to make the connection progress easier.

  • For assembly, refer to the assembly guide pdf file. Please read it thoroughly!!
  • Note that this assembly is one example. You can extend or reinforce the structure however you like!
