This is an experimental filament painting to see how well the silk PLA will work as medium for filament paintings….of course Iron Giant was a good concept to test on :)

Personally i am very happy with the results but i am looking forward for your comments and prints.

Print at 100% infill with a layer height of 0.08mm with a base layer of 0.16mm

Filaments Used:

• PLA Overture Black
• PLA PolyTerra Charcoal Black
• PLA Ziro Silk PLA -Silver Black
• PLA Ziro Silk PLA - Silver Gray
• PLA Ziro Silk PLA -Silver
• PLA Overture White

Swap Instructions:

• Start with Black
• At layer #7 (0.64mm) swap to Charcoal Black
• At layer #11 (0.96mm) swap to Silk -Silver Black
• At layer #16 (1.36mm) swap to Silk - Silver Gray
• At layer #24 (2mm) swap to Silk -Silver
• At layer #30 (2.48mm) swap to White for the rest.

I am using Ziro Silk PLA but not affiliated or anything just the only brand that offered 3 different shades of Silver here in UK and decided to test it.
