Description

These are STL files used to create the 3D printed Autobots Transformer Neon LED sign. Entire model is around 19 inches tall and 19 inches wide. Other materials used to build are listed below. I print in multiple pieces and use a soldering iron to weld the pieces together. I haven't had the time to build this one yet, if I do I will add some photos of the completed project.

Neon LED strips: There are several brands available. Some are cuttable every 1 cm (Lamomo brand), others are cuttable every 2.5 cm (Meijiajia brand). I've linked the 2 types below. Use any color combination you'd like and I would love to see how it turns out.

Meijiajia:

12 volt Power supply:

Cable to attach end of Neon LED strip to on/off switch:

On/Off Switch:

Optional, instead of on/off a dimmable switch can be used:

Love your neon signs. Got to try to make one to. You made a lot of signs. Can is ask what width you use, so the neon fits well? Boosted your work, keep up the good work.

this sign does take a lot of soldering. welding the printed peices together is easy but if you are not comfortable with soldering wires, the lighting will take a while to complete.

This is such an awesome design, thanks for sharing it! I'm hoping to print this project but was wanting to try and keep it to a single P1S build plate. Do you have any suggestions for other types of LED strips that would fit a smaller print?

I’d advise against just scaling down the model to fit one plate since the channels are designed for the full size lights. there are smaller neon like lights called “el wire” that you can look into for smaller applications.
