Description

Here’s my take on a coffee (and more) bag clip with a minimalist design.

CAUTION! PLEASE READ BEFORE PRINTING

Please note that if you change any settings in the printing profile or use your own profile, I cannot guarantee that the print will turn out well. I strongly recommend using PETG filament to print this model. PLA does not have enough strength and may break quickly.

Successfully tested on A1 Mini & PETG only
I tested this design only with PETG filament on my A1 Mini, so I cannot promise that other filaments or printers will work as well. Some people experienced fused hinge.

PRINT-IN-PLACE HINGE

To release the hinge, apply a gradual back-and-forth force. Avoid using direct, straight force because it can break the hinge.

If you are using your own printing profile, I highly recommend adding a 100% infill modifier for the hinge and six walls.

Pro tip: Use my recommended printing profile for the best results!

Print-in-place joint was fused together, instead of breaking free it just broke... *Previous comment was saltier than necessary for reasons unrelated to you or this model... it is a very good design apart from that hinge... I like the interlock you built into the collar to keep it from free-spinning when putting the top on and off... I recently found the snap-socket shape in TinkerCAD, if this were my design I would try replacing that hinge with something like that & make it two separate pieces.

Oh... I am truly sorry to see this... Could you please share more details about what printer model you used and what filament you used? Did you change any settings in the printing profile? I want to fix this. I printed them 10+, everything works very well. Successfully tested on A1 Mini

Replying to @pavanji :
Printed in PETG (Firos iirc, but it seems they've gone out of the filament business so 🤷‍♂️) .20mm 3 walls @ 15% infill... I used these settings before I saw your recommended settings but with all due respect 6 walls @ 40% infill seems overkill for the function of keeping a plastic or mylar bag closed... seems like it would only need to be that strong to survive breaking the bonds at the hinge...

Excellent Project. I used these settings 15% infill 3 walls Pet-g with 255° nozzle and 80° table and it was excellent. Thank you very much for sharing this project with us.

I’ve printed with PLA and it works perfectly. I’ve already printed five times and each time it’s turned out great. Thank you very much.
