Description

When you need to prime cap toppers for paint bottles from Army Painter or Vallejo, you want to do it in batches because you probably have lots of bottles. It's also easier to do with an airbrush.

When it comes to speed paints, priming is even more important because you'll want to see colors over different shades of gray. You'll likely use some kind of zenithal priming (Google it), applied with an airbrush.

For that, the given tool allows you to prime eight caps at a time. Two tools are included—while caps on one are drying, you can prime caps on the other.

Start with a black primer all over the caps. Then switch to white primer and airbrush at a 45-degree angle while spinning the tool. The sides of the caps facing outward will become more whitish, while the sides facing the axis of the tool will be darker. The top of the topper will have gradients of white on the ridges and black in the recesses.

When speed paint is applied, all these details will show up, giving a perfect example of how the paint will look on a miniature.

Check out my other project with bottle toppers designed for use with this tool:

However, any topper will work perfectly since the shape is the same.
