Description

Let's be honest - you've always wanted a sword. And you've always been fascinated by things that spin. But what if you could have both? Enter the ultimate fidget weapon: a precision-engineered sword that not only spins, but can also lock into eight different positions for your spinning-sword-wielding pleasure.

Usage Tips

For optimal performance:

  • Before first use, gently work the bearing cage to loosen it and apply lubricant to ensure smooth rotation.
  • If the locking mechanism's peg fits loosely in the grip, apply a layer of tape on the peg itself to increase its thickness slightly.
  • Try not to hit yourself or others with the blade, as it might hurt.

Variants

Two versions available:

  1. Full-size model with detent mechanism
  2. Compact “spinning dagger” variant - simplified design without locking mechanism

Print Specifications

Optimized for basic PLA and the following settings:

Global Settings

  • Nozzle size: 0.4mm
  • Layer Height: 0.20mm (Standard profile)
  • Seam Position: Random (ensures uniform roller geometry)
  • Infill: 15% Gyroid pattern
  • Support: Manually placed on the edge of the blade, normal type with 0.1mm Top Z distance

Component Settings

Detent Mechanism:

  • Wall Loops: 3 (enhances spring rigidity)
  • Seam Position: Back (improves surface finish)

The detent arm requires a specific orientation during printing (side placement) to optimize layer orientation relative to operational forces.
