Description

UPDATED 1/7/24. Updated thin outer walls on the face plate and back to reduce print time plus found a gray filament that allows light through while not looking brown.

Cowboys light box we did for a gift. Prints pretty easily and lights up nicely.

Filaments used in example pictures are Kingroon gray PLA and Bambu basic PLA black, white, blue.

Be sure to clean your nozzle before printing to prevent wisps as much as possible. The back has a negative cube you can move and scale to your liking. Enjoy and happy printing!

Would you consider adding a passthrough for the LED power cable?

if you have the back open in Bambu slicer you can add a negative object and move/scale the negative part to where you want the hole. if you need a dedicated hole in the file message us

The box does not allow the Dallas Cowboys helmet to sit inside flush like the box and Kansas City Chiefs helmet does.

I have printed this model 3 different times and each of them is in the trash. The model is too thin and the seams from the colors do not seal the design leaving gaps in between the colors.

Sorry you are having trouble with the model. We ourselves have ran this model many time and have never had gaps between the colors. If you are printing on a smooth plate you need to really have your extrusion dialed in, the only reason we could see there being gap issues would be under extrusion with the filament you are specifically using. The model itself has been proven many times with hundreds of users to be solid using our settings included in the 3mf file on a textured plate. Again we apologize you had three different failures of the print, not all filament is created equal and they all have different feed, speed, and temperatures that could be causing the issue. The Bambu machines are amazing, but the filament still needs tuning for solid first layers. If there are gaps in the first layer, every layer will have gaps.

I will try it once more. I’m using Bambu filament on a textured plate running on the x1c.

Is there a back plate for this?

the second 3mf file on model page is the back, the face and the back have different settings for quality purposes so for people to have both settings we had to upload them individually.

Great print, the only problem is I made this for someone at work and an Eagles fan got mad. So, to keep the peace I printed an Eagles one. Now someone that saw the Eagles helmet wanted a KC helmet 😂.
