Description

This resizer tool can be used to stretch the band of a ring.

Only for rings that have a circular metal band.

Resizing in this way is not recommended if you need to expand the diameter of the ring by more than 1 full US size (~.8mm)

Instructions:

  • Print all parts from plate 1 or 2 depending on the starting size of the ring to enlarge.
  • Place the ring on the lowest step that it fits snugly (don't force it)
    • Make sure the ring is sitting flush
  • Insert the wedge
  • Tap the wedge a few times with moderate force
    • Start with minor changes.  You don't want to make it too big!
  • Flip the assembly upside-down and place it in the removal jig
  • Insert the removal pin into the hole
  • Tap the removal pin with a hammer until the wedge slides out
  • Check the fit.  If it's still too tight then repeat as needed.

Use at your own risk!  I don't want to hear about you breaking grandmas heirloom jewelry!

Really nice. My wife had a bended ring laying around, with this tool I could fix it with ease. Thanks!
