Wanted some solid reusable seed trays, so I modelled this 4x4 design. The large drainage hole makes for an easy removal of the plug when it is ready for transplanting.

– Tray Size: 141mm x 141mm x 45mm

– Cell Size: 30x30x45mm

– Drainage Hole Diameter: 15mm

Added an optional bottom tray as a separate print profile if you want to catch any excess water.

@mtaphorn also made a suspended base for the tray (Makerworld link).

Great design, very similar to the commercial ones :). Prints well in Bambu PETG HF and basic. I added a few dips between the cells to aid watering and used a few different colours to help organise the seeds.

5x5 with tray PETG

I did have problems with my first print I had to cancel it, I didn’t check the settings it downloaded with and it warped and came off the plate half way thru the print fixed the settings and reprinted, it’s a beautiful print. I’m an avid gardener and these are beautiful and very sturdy I’m actually printing another set right now

If you can get cheap petg in sales then its cheaper than buying branded versions, ive managed £5 a roll of jayo on aliexpress. I didn't touch the settings, merely added the extra cells. 2 fit alongside each other fine in 38cm trays if needed with plenty of room to get a watering can in either side, plus capillary matting helps either way

Boosted and then printed a 5x5 version and added the print profile. They fit inside 1kg filament bags too. Jayo have some ziplock bags which makes it even better. I just used some 3d printed clips for ones without gripseal
