As the year 2023 comes to an end, I present to you:

a rotating text illusion to welcome the new year 2024 🎆!

What is this and how needs it?

For anyone wanting to celebrate the end of 2023, this is a text angle illusion that shows 2023 from one and 2024 from another angle.

Fit and finish

Because the base of the ¾ is very delicate and needs alot of support structures, it might break on removal. This can easily be fixed by gluing it back on with some CA glue or any other glue compatible with your material.

Making of

I wrote an openSCAD program to generate these illusions. If you want other variants, contact me and I might publish other ones on request.

Choice of material

Print this in any material, tested with PLA, PC, PETG. Softer materials might not work as well because of the supports needed to print the extreme overhangs.

Print it, remix it (same license), but please give some attribution if you do, that would be much appreciated.
