Description

Coming from an X1C with the rotating screen, I was expecting something similar for the P1S, so I made one. Definitely will have some play depending on the tolerances of your printer, so the step files are included. The dimensions aren't super accurate as they are tuned to my printer's tolerance, which has a bit of error at the moment.

BOM:

Body attachment

Screen attachment

Assembly:

Remove the screen from the P1S by sliding it to the right. Be very careful here, I almost tore the cable doing this. Disconnect the wire.

Unscrew the 2 screws (1.5mm hex driver) connecting the screen to the plastic mount (the thing that actually holds the screen to the printer).

Press fit the body attachment part into the plastic mount.

Use the 2 screws to attach the screen attachment to the screen.

Loop the wire through the hole in the plastic mount/body attachment piece. Slide this piece back onto the P1S.

Connect the wire to the screen. Attach the screen/screen attachment piece.

worked great, was able to adjust my screen angle down so I could see it while it's on the top shelf.

Prints well and is functional, but makes the display seem a little loose wobbly when trying to press the controls. Still better than original mounting as can actually see the screen from below now.

Support Issue:I’ve tried printing this profile several time and failed every time with a different problem every time. Problens varied from bed adhesion, support failure etc. At some point I thought the problem was my printer but this is the only model that has ever failed on my printer. It just seems I’m cursed to not experience the full glory of this model
Other Issues:Potential user error
