Description

2024-01-01: Made the tolerances tighter, so the hygrometer doesn't fall out when you pull the bracket off the door. Also doubled the amount of magnets in the hygrometer bracket, so that it holds on stronger.

I previously released a knob/handle for the X1C, as well as a hygrometer bracket that fits into the X1C glass door… but then I saw @Robbicon's brilliant design for a magnetic hygrometer bracket that is held up through magnets. So that inspired me to make this, which combines both the hygrometer bracket and the knob/handle into a single design.

Requires 45x 4mm x 2mm magnets.

Unfortunately, the magnets are not strong enough to hold the hydrometer frame to the handle.

Did you make sure to put the magnets in correctly? If you put them in upside down, they will repel.

When you put the two halves together they stick together, and if you just put them on either side of the door they seem to hold weakly. But they do not seem strong enough to hold through the glass door when you put the hydrometer in the inside piece.
