This print profile is for a replacement snap button, specifically designed for a child's Crocs. The original button on my child's Crocs broke, prompting the need for this durable alternative. This design is intentionally tougher to snap in place compared to the original enhancing durability. The button undergoes significant stress, especially during running, and this design helps ensure it stays securely attached.
I initially printed this button using standard PLA filament but found it prone to breaking. To address this, the current design is printed using PLA-CF (PLA with Carbon Fiber) for added strength and durability. However, if you're looking for even more resilience, I recommend printing with ABS or any other filament known for high tensile strength.
No support is needed.
I added a slight fillet to make the edges less sharp, but after printing, you might want to smooth the edges a bit more for a more comfortable fit.
