Cooling Adapter / Alienware x16 R1 Laptop Cooling Solution

TL;DR, fits well. Print on 166% speed safely. Be gentle when inserting fan into the notch. Cooling fan linked at bottom.

I love my Alienware laptop, but man it gets hot. Coming from a gaming desktop, I was surprised to see it hitting close to 95c sometimes. 

I had a cooling pad, but realised the air was being sucked away from the bottom of the laptop. The Alienware laptop cools by sucking air from underneath the laptop, and pushing out two vents in the back, and two vents on each side of the laptop. 

This adapter allows you to slot over back vents and attach an AliExpress laptop cooler (Linked at the bottom). Full disclosure, I bought this laptop cooler around 6 years ago. So, I'm unsure if the current laptop coolers for sale fit the exact same spec as my one. They do however look exactly the same.

The adapter fits on both sides, all you have to do is flip it around. So, you can print two and have two laptop coolers attached at the same time for maximum cooling. There is a little notch inside the part that connects to the cooling fan, make sure you slide one side of the cooling fan into that notch, before forcing the cooling fan into the other side. Only one side has a notch. The adapter holds semi tight to the laptop, and you can move around with it attached. it doesn't fall off super easily. 

I am aware that one side of the print prints a bit wonky. I had two notches on my second iteration, and it was too tight. So, I tried to remove the notch, and the walls became slightly weird. It only impacts a small cosmetic part of the print.

Printed on my A1 combo at Ludacris speed without any issues.
