Description

Basic information

This is "The HoldLing", a variable multipurpose laptop / keyboard / tablet stand - or whatever else you want to put in it!

For example, I use it to have my work laptop on, but with the lid "almost" closed so that it doesn't dazzle me. I then work via the connected monitors. When the work is finished, the keyboard is placed behind the laptop and everything is neat and tidy.

Model information

"The HoldLing" comes in two versions.

  • Version 1 (V1) has a wider area at the back and a narrower area at the front.
  • Version 2 (V2) has a narrower area at the back and a wider one at the front.

You can see the versions and their possible uses in the pictures.

The side parts are each connected with two "connector" rods and sit relatively loosely on them. This allows the stand to be adjusted very quickly and flexibly to the required size. Any number of side parts can also be attached to create a more stable version. If the "Connector" rods are too loose for you, you can scale them to 100.5%, then they sit very tightly. However, this also depends somewhat on the material - my eSUN Multicolor PLA, for example, was much tighter than my Bambu Lab PLA.

If required, I can also add connectors for the "connector" rods to make them "infinitely long".

Print instructions and settings

For the standard "The HoldLing" you need:

  • 2x side part
  • 2x connector rod

The print profiles are designed for different colors on two plates, adjust them to your liking. If you want to print in one color, of course everything fits on one plate.

Very simple model with good rigidity once assembled. Did it in Bambu PETG-CF. -Kind of- holds some of my laptops but not perfect for any of them (X240, T430, T15g).

Thanks, this one works well, and I'll probably make a more adapted version of it in future, if I'm inspired enough.
