Update 1/11/23:
I added a text version as a print profile, Yay - The text says: “SHRED IT!”

As a passionate skier and tinkerer, I modeled the SkiDock to share with fellow enthusiasts. This project is born out of my own desire to enhance the getting ready part of the ski experience. It's a straightforward design, requiring just a few magnets and some 1/2-inch rubber pads, making it incredibly easy to assemble and print. Ideal for those who enjoy hands-on projects and practical solutions for winter sports!
Key Features of the SkiDock:
Here are the links to the Magnets and Pads used:
- 1/2” Diameter Black Self Adhesive Pads
- 12 Pack Neodymium Bar Magnets 60 x 10 x 3 mm
I am using supports and the Strength Profile, and I find that printing them on their side yields the best results. I also find it beneficial to add a brim on the Connector Piece, although I have discovered that it is not entirely necessary. In terms of keeping the magnet and the connections in place, I prefer using JB Weld. However, I have recently started using 3M VHB tape as an alternative method, and I have found it to be successful so far. If you choose to use glue, ensure that the magnet is free of any oils, and it may be helpful to roughen the surface of the magnet with sandpaper.
Based on the “SnoStrip” but for us DIY folk, and not $50 ;)
