Description

This is a spool weight that I designed to fit the Sunlu ,Anycubic and the new JAYO plastic filament spools, which are very light and tend to cause problems in the AMS once they get empty.

The spool weight can hold up to 15 AA batteries inside, which adds up to 440g of total weight. This helps the filament to feed more smoothly and consistently. The spool weight has an outer core diameter of 71mm, which matches the inner diameter of the Sunlu (72mm) and Anycubic (74mm) spools. 

It can be printed without support and I picked tolerances that make it easy enough to open. Some others I've tried were too tight for my taste.

Dont work for me. The thread is pretty tight

I've a tolerance of 0.3mm to each side in the thread of this model. Usually that should be plenty. The first time it can be a bit harder, but then it should go in and out easily.
