Description

Introduction:

Since I'm a big fan of Powerlifting I decided to make these models for my office and as gifts for my friends and fellow gym buddies and as a tribute to the iconic weight plates from Eleiko.

The coasters are 4mm thick with a diameter of 100mm and a hole with a diameter of 12mm.

This set features:

  • 4 coasters with metric units (25kg, 20kg, 15kg, 10kg)
  • 4 coasters with imperial units (55lbs, 45lbs, 35lbs, 25lbs)
  • 3 different racks
  • A pen holder for the alternative Racks with an inner diameter of 12mm, which looks like a mount for barbells

The Main Rack holds up to 8 coasters in total. (4 on each side)

The Alternative Racks hold up to 4 and up to 8 coasters.

A tiny bit of glue is needed for the racks!

Printing:

I've been prototyping a lot to achieve the best quality and looks of the coasters and racks.

Therefore I had to adjust some settings like line width, variable layer height and so on.

There's also a little bit of support needed, because of some small overhangs on the racks.

To avoid confusion among what to print I made different print profiles, which separate the racks and metric / imperial coasters from eachother.

Assembly:

While the Main Rack is quite self explanatory, the Alternative Racks need to be aligned properly.

Because the pockets for the dividers are off-centered I made a little index on the Rack's bases, which indicate the insides of the two parts:

I also recommend to face all dividers into the same direction, for an overall better look.

You will also need a tiny bit of glue for connecting the base parts and the feet.

Final Words:

All rights of the logo belong to Eleiko!

If you run into any issues, while printing or assembling, please let me know by commenting or messaging me!

And if you like the model I would love to receive some kind of feedback from you by liking, rating or even boosting it for free.

I would also love to see some pics of your prints!

Thank you for printing!
