A chess board with a focus on aesthetics rather than practicality. Based on the Bauhaus chess board from a century ago, but a modern take that lends itself to printing.
Besides looking pleasing to the eye, the board is meant to be thought provoking. Although you can see from it's simple form exactly what it is, it looks different from different perspectives, which serves as a reminder of our perspectives in life and how subjective they are. The form and function combine to create a whole that both is, and is not of it's time, transcending spacial and temporal limits and transporting you into a dimension where truth is itself and is of itself… … can I get a grant to continue my work?
