Description

Working work in progress
So I wanted to built a grab and go for the A1 Mini with AMS.

I'm using 4x 500mm 2020 extrusions. You should use 2x 500mm and 2x 750mm 2020 extrusions (the handle should be higher, or maybe lower. I'm tall and the filament tubes slap the handle with 500mm.

Additionally I printed the A1 Printer Station https://www.printables.com/model/243851-printer-grip-handle-2020 which I used as a base under the A1.

I made a 100mm x 500mm frame for the base using 3x 3d printed 100mm 2020 extrusions so that I could glue them to the printer station.

I printed 4 tpu feet to raise up the station and provide some absorption. I used normal settings, with 50% cubic infill to make the stiff, and that might have been too stiff. I glued these to the corners of the printer station.

I found the balance point of the A1 on the station to be such that one of my rails and then glued 2 of the 100 mm plastic 2020 extrusions to the bottom center around the lateral balance point and 20mm in from the outside edge.

I used super glue with hardener on the faces of my 2020's and the printer station and the added a super glue with baking soda along the seam for a little extra strength.

I let the glue harden and then glued on a couple of 20x20x40 blocks to get the far side at the right height.

I put the AMS all the ways at the other end for counter balance and then put the vertical rails so that they had clearance from the arm, which ended up balancing the A1 and AMS quite nicely.

I attached the TopBrace to the top and then put the handles on it with 3mm screws going through the handles and TopBrace piece.

Used quite a few 2020 90 degree braces and lots of attachment hardware. I've built several printers (i.e. Voron) and have a lot of 2020 hardware laying around.
