Description

Hi,

Here you have a knife protector that I use for my kitchen knifes.

I use a P1S 0.4 nozzle PLA.

Measure you knife change the height and or width if necessary in your slicer.

The file added is 170mm x 42mm x gap 2.1mm

IMPORTANT:

When changing the hight and width please disable "uniform scale" in your slicer.

Please do not change the height and/or width when the "uniform scale" is still enabled.

This will change the thicknes of the print and your knife will not fit anymore.

SUPPORT:

For the best print you need to print with manual support.

I use tree support.

  1. Slice the file with tree support manual enabled.
  2. Now you are in preview mode. Go back to prepare.
  3. Select your 3d print and press the letter “L” on your keyboard. (This enables supports painting)
  4. Select “Fill” at “Tool Type”
  5. Select the lower part of the print that needs support it should look the same as my support.

Please leave a comment if the print worked fine but also leave a comment for improvements.

Thanks and Have Fun.
