After some feedback from users I was able to add two additional mounting holes location for heat set inserts into the bottom rack support file. This will accommodate the new version of drawer slides available on the link below as well as some others commonly found. This build profile is under REV D

It is confirmed that this will also fit the first version of the AMS 2. I have test fit the new AMS 2 on the print with no interference issues.
Update 2/4/2025
I added a new profile that has built in AMS hub connector ports. you can order the connector adapters here as a set so that if the rack is set up between two printers the original cables will be able to reach each side of the rack hub port. There are two bulkhead ports on either side wall. The linked cables will act as extensions to each AMS unit and stay with the rack. The 24" cable on the bottom AMS to allow for in/out motion with the slides and the 15" cable to the top AMS just to re-locate to the side for easier access. Background
I have been looking for a compact way to organize my AMS units while still allowing them to sit on a standard shelf in my printer farm. space is an growing concern both in width and height and the having the AMS unit on top of my printers always leads to other issues especially when I need to take off the to glass to access a print for inserting something or venting. After searching for a while for a solution that doesn't take up too much height while stacking AMS units elsewhere I decided to deign something that allows them to be compactly stacked and still has a pull out drawer to allow access to the bottom AMS.
This is my first revision to this design after some initial testing and trial fits. I have found three different rib configurations of AMS units and accommodated for all three of those, but there may be more out there so if this model adapter doesn't fit please share, I would be happy to adjust to accommodate different AMS rib configurations.
Print Details
This print has 4 plates and takes just over 1kg of material. I printed this out of PLA with 2 walls and 15% infill which had plenty of strength and support for the inserts. The only place where support is required is the bottom of the top supports, which you may be able to manually adjust to get total print under 1kg. I also used a smooth PEI plate with glue stick to make sure the side supports stick since they are quite tall on the build plate relative to their width.
Build Details
The top supports are held on with screws and heat set inserts and the drawer slides are common telescoping 10 inch slides. I will link kit for purchasing all hardware below if you don't want to source everything separately. The rest of the assembly either snaps or twist locks together without the need for any other hardware. Using this configuration will require running longer AMS bus cables and PTFE tube depending on your layout.
There are locations for hold down screws that will fit a standard #8 wood screw or a M5 socket head cap screw in the font and back of the side support legs. These are not necessarily needed but some users may want the added security if you are not going to add a top AMS for counterweight.
I am working on a future revision to add an integrated extension AMS cable port to the side support and will post here once complete. Also working on other add-ons for the top shelf instead of AMS adapter.
