NOTE: This print requires tight tolerances. If your printer struggles with moving parts at 0.15mm clearance, use the low tolerance model.

This simple yet overengineered chess board doubles as a very rugged carrying case. The handle and two pieces connect using two dovetail joints. Bottom layers to be printed in two colours. Prints easily without supports. Each square showcases octagram spiral surface pattern but I would also recommend archimedean chords.

nice design but unfortunately is not as practical at it seems on the 3D modeling, the main problem is once the two pieces are put together is almost imposible to take them apart. even with a hammer i cant take it apart.

This is due to clearance. The original model required a clearance of 0.15 which should have been possible with a Bambu printer. May I ask which printer you were using? Feel free to print it again using the model I just uploaded that has a lower 0.2mm tolerance. It can be found under raw models. I won't be uploading the coloured 3MF as I have no need for another box and MakerWorld requires a test print before uploading. This should fix your issue.
