This Corgi character is both fun and eye catching with a flexible and springy body. The movable head / back swings and wiggles when touched creating a fun and dynamic model.
This is my first attempt at a springy model with iterations to follow.
2 out of 3 printed. The one that failed was probably influenced by a print that failed next to it. I shrunk the model which was great for printing time, but it also took a 6 year old exactly 5 seconds to pull it apart. Don't recommend shrinking with kids.
@3P_Designs HAHA, I tried a similar thing ( shrinking the model ) to save on filament but yeah, the thickness of the springs would shrink too and snap easily. Thanks for sharing the image. I love your other prints too.
The Chihuahua has a neck spring I designed to give it that bobble effect. I ended up gluing the two halves of the corgi together and let the 3 year old paint that.
I’m sharing another picture because my daughter loves this model so much. She has asked for a puppy in every type of filament that I have. I drew the line at solid colored PLA, but that’s still a large collection of dogs.
Came out super cute! I’m planning to print a few as favors my daughter’s birthday party. But, this first one will be a gift for a corgi-loving friend of mine.
