Description:
This snap-together spinning tape measure spool has a spinning handle as well as the main spool section. No glue is required. I recommend PETG but this updated version may have greater strength than previous versions if printed with PLA.
Two different versions for 15mm or 20mm wide soft tape measures
Version 6:
Larger handle, easier to hold and stronger with larger swivel interface;
Handle print orientation (see image):
- PETG: handle may be re-orientated to be printed upright (see picture, standing).
- no supports required and smoother finish on handle;
- slightly weaker strength due to layer lines, this orientation may not be suitable for PLA; and
use you're slicer's ‘Lay on Face (F)’ command and invert the handle onto it's top surface (once assembled) prior to slicing
PLA: Default orientation (as downloaded) with handle laying on it's side with some minor supports (picture);

Orientate the handle using the ‘Lay on Face (F)’ to desired orientation prior to printing.
