Description
Hello,
I present to you my newest project the Moon clock!
Parts:
Clock Plate. This is the main part of the clock. It is like moon surface. standard support needed for recess for clock mechanism. I recommend you to set more top layers.
Numbers Tight. i print those numbers and they fit perfectly to the ring. I didn't even have to glue them to the outer ring. 0% infill to make it permeable to light
Numbers. I didn't print these numbers because tight one fit perfectly in my case but I made them if You have a problem to fit them into outer ring. I made a bigger bevel on the side that goes into the outer ring so i guess you have to glue them if You choose them.
Transparent strip. It is a thin strip that covers the led strip.
Outer ring part 1. I cut the outer ring ito two parts so that there would be no problem with removing the supports in the groove for the led strip.
Outer ring part 2. It fit perfectly so i didn't even glue part 1 with part 2 together.
- Outer ring in one part. This is outer ring in one part. I recomended it for those who have calibrated perfect supports or can print supports with different filament.
Outer ring have a hanger if Your clock mechanism doesn't.
All You need:
Clock mechanism. Standard clock mechanism (place in plate: 56x56, hole 7,6mm). Depending on what hands Your mechanism has, You may need to shorten slightly the minutes and seconds hands.
LED strip: The width of the led strip is 8mm. You need about 70cm length.
- and filaments :-). I printed plate: silver pla, numbers: yellow, transparent is transparent and outer ring parts: black PETG
