Description

EDIT:

New RIGHT and LEFT version available

Simple side holder for 3 pieces of BambuLab plates.

The holder is in the version for the right side of the printer and is fixed and centered to the printer by means of two pins. The inclined plane of the holder prevents the plates from being pushed out.

The pins fit exactly into the two holes in the bottom of the Bambulab X1C. To attach the holder, you need to tilt the printer back slightly, place both pins in the bottom holes and tilt the printer forward.

It is suitable to print from PLA or PETG material. There is PETG in the preset profile with generic settings. Please adjust the parameters of your own filament !!!

Thank You!

NOTE: this was designed for the X1C printer with standard feet, I have not tested with any other…

Printed in PLA. Superdraft mode. Squeezed both parts on one plate. Dovetail joints required a little sanding and persuasion but that may have been due to the change in quality setting. I can also confirm that it works on the P1S as well.

Thanks, I've published a revised version of the holder and modified the dovetails there.

cool print but doe sent fit my x1c with standard feet :( Maybe because my x1c was one of the early ones?

I'm sorry it doesn't fit your printer. I have it like this on all X1C printers. Attached is a picture of where the pins will come.

yeah I think they have 2 different x1c mine is one of the early ones and have literally 3mm of space from the bottom to the surface. I’ll make a print profile for the slimmer one. thank you ❤️

Squeezed them both onto a single bed print. Guessing I have an earlier X1C as well as it doesn't allow the printer to sit level when put into the slots. Otherwise a great print. Will keep my eyes out to see if a slimmer profile comes out.

Printed beautifully! Sits securely alongside the printer for convenient plate storage. Printed in basic black and silver PLA at 0.2mm layers. Required some force to assemble, and I doubt I could separate them again.

Other Issues:poor tolerance with the dovetails, also very small. looks good but wouldn't print again.

I'm sorry. With a perfectly calibrated filament profile, it can be inserted without any problems. There is more tolerance in the updated version of the holder. https://makerworld.com/en/models/121583#profileId-130834 https://makerworld.com/en/models/121592#profileId-130845

My filament is pretty well calibrated, by probably not "perfect". If the updated version ditched the filament waste by being full body and a nameplate it would be worth using that one. Seriously, why are so many Bambu Logos on everything? Isn't the one on the unit enough? :/

Overall, nice design. I wanted to mount it to the left of the printer but Bambu Studio doesn't allow negative scaling. A little easing on the dovetail tolerance would be helpful.
