Vision to Design

As an avid mountain biker frustrated by existing options, I developed TagLockr to specifically address these issues.

• Because TagLockr leverages existing tracker networks, there's no monthly subscription cost. 
• It stores popular trackers (like AirTag or SmartTag2) inside your bike’s steering tube, making it nearly invisible. This discreet design ensures thieves remain unaware they're being tracked—until it's too late.
• The expandable TPU ring securely locks the device in place by tightening the stainless steel security bolt, ensuring TagLockr can't easily be removed.

With TagLockr you can FINALLY protect your investment affordably, discreetly, and effectively.

This includes a stretch goal to add additional tracking tag options to the design (such as the Tile Sticker tracker), giving you even more flexibility in choosing your preferred device.

• Provide even more flexibility in choosing your preferred device and 
• Provide a universal option (iOS and Android) for steering tubes narrower than 32mm, that won't accommodate the larger size of AirTags.

Fork Compatibility & Sizing

TagLockr is designed to work with a wide range of fork sizes and brands. While we're still finalizing a comprehensive compatibility list during this prototyping phase, forks with an inner steerer tube diameter of 32mm or larger are currently the most reliable fit. Technically, TagLockr can fit smaller diameters, but the limiting factor is the tracking tag itself—Apple AirTags measure 31.9mm wide, leaving little to no clearance in anything narrower.
