We’re calling this project Mecha & WuKong. Honestly, why WuKong? Well, we were a little worried about getting a cease-and-desist letter from Marvel. Just kidding... mostly!

This is our first fully assemble-able toy designed specifically for the 3D printing community. The best part? Zero screws required. In fact, the entire core structure and joints are incredibly solid all on their own. You only need a tiny bit of glue if you want to attach the red decorative strips to make it look absolutely stunning. But for the actual structural assembly and playability? No glue needed, period. We want you to focus purely on the fun part: the build. Get ready to experience the pure joy of snapping these pieces together and watching your mecha come to life in a ridiculously smooth assembly process!
 

Let’s talk about the hands. We originally designed fully articulated fingers, but let's be real: assembling tiny fingers joint-by-joint is a bit of a nightmare and kind of ruins that smooth assembly experience. So, we changed the plan. The base model will come with 3 sets of fixed-pose hands.

However, if we hit our $2,500 stretch goal, we will unlock the fully articulated hands! And don't worry, even those won't need screws. It’s not that the articulated hands are bad—they are actually fantastic, and we pushed the absolute limits of screwless design to make them work. We just want to give you the option.

Size & Compatibility The fully assembled WuKong stands at an impressive 46 cm. If you guys show this project enough love, we will test and release a massive 80 cm version before the campaign ends. (And if conditions permit, we might even do more sizes later!).

We truly believe that once you finish putting this together, you'll have a whole new appreciation for 3D printed assemblies. It's like WuKong is just sitting there, waiting for you to build him.
