Cutting Edge Meets Cutting Mat
Cutting Edge Meets Cutting Mat

I’ve been using a clear 12x18 cutting mat on top of an A3 sized light board for trimming vinyl cuts created with the new Bambu H2D, and it’s been a total game-changer. The transparency of the mat lets the light shine through perfectly, making it easy to see cut lines with incredible clarity. That little extra visibility saves a lot of time and prevents mistakes, especially on detailed or intricate designs.

The clear self-healing cutting mat itself protects both the light board and my blades, while still holding the vinyl steady without slipping. Pairing it with the precision cuts from the H2D just makes the whole process smoother and more enjoyable.

If you’re doing any vinyl cutting with your Bambu H2D or H2S printer, I can’t recommend this setup enough. It takes the guesswork out of weeding and trimming, and makes finishing projects faster, cleaner, and looks cool too!

@Pr1ntCraft I have been printing with vinyl for years and I agree 💯 with your setup. The light table makes an enormous difference when weeding, especially with very intricate designs. Thanks for posting the article.
