NEW MODEL :)
Description
This 3D printing test model is specifically designed to experiment with and visually compare the effects of the “Fuzzy Skin” slicer setting. The fuzzy skin feature creates a rough, tactile surface, which is ideal for handles, decorative items, or when a more organic look and feel is desired.
The model contains six pairs of test structures, each labeled with the applied fuzzy skin parameters (e.g. -0.2 / 0.1, -0.4 / 0.2, etc.). These typically refer to the amplitude (strength) and density values, allowing easy side-by-side comparison.
🎯 What is it for?
- Comparing fuzzy skin parameter combinations
- Choosing the best surface texture for your use case
- Understanding the difference between smooth and textured prints
- Evaluating grip comfort and visual style
🛠 Recommended Print Settings:
- Layer height: 0.2 mm
- Nozzle size: 0.4 mm
- Supports: Not required
- Brim: Optional
- Material: PLA, PETG, or ABS / ASA
- Slicer compatibility: Bambu Studio, PrusaSlicer, OrcaSlicer (with fuzzy skin enabled)
💡 Tip:
Use light-colored filament to make the textures more visible, but even darker shades will show the difference well when held in hand.
