I’ve optimized my tin whistle model for printing on the Bambu Lab H2D printer. The main benefit is that it now prints as a single piece.
Because it’s nearly 300 mm tall, print quality becomes more sensitive as the nozzle reaches the top. If things aren’t dialed in, the print can start to wobble, or the base might lose adhesion. To help avoid issues, I recommend printing it in SILENT mode. It’ll take longer, but the results are worth it.
SILENT mode is especially helpful if you’re using Silk PLA, which tends to produce a much smoother finish when printed slowly.
The multicolor version in the photos is printed with Bambu Lab Silk+ Silver PLA and Bambu Lab Slate Gray Sparkle PLA on the tips. The Silk+ Silver finish has a sleek, stainless steel look.
