Dear MakerWorld Team,
I understand and respect your goal to elevate the platform's standard by prioritizing highly competitive, complex exclusive models. However, I am reaching out to ask for a reconsideration regarding the complete removal of points for my recent models.
While these designs are intended to be accessible, quick-to-print gifts, "simple" aesthetics do not mean simple execution. It routinely takes hours of physical iterations, tolerance testing, and print optimization to ensure these models function perfectly for the community.
If these models do not meet your specific criteria for exclusive status, I completely understand. However, entirely removing or heavily capping their regular points is highly discouraging. These rewards are what motivate creators to keep spending time and filament to contribute to the platform.
To help bridge this gap, I highly recommend that MakerWorld consider implementing a dedicated "Community Model Pool" or a separate reward allowance for simpler, high-utility prints. Creating a distinct baseline tier for fast, reliable gift designs would give creators the breathing room to share fun, engaging content without the fear of total point disqualification, all while preserving your top-tier "Exclusive" status for hyper-complex projects.
I kindly request that you look into this suggestion and restore the standard/regular point allocation for my current models to reflect the design and testing hours put into them.
Thank you for your time, your consideration, and for supporting your creator community.
