The Crystal Spine Dragon was designed as a clean but powerful crystal dragon, focusing on strong shapes instead of excessive small details. The idea was to create a model that looks impressive from any angle and prints reliably without sacrificing character.

The crystal formations along the spine define the whole silhouette. They give the dragon a sharp, armored look, while the low, grounded pose adds weight and presence. Even when placed on a shelf or desk, it feels like the creature could move at any moment.

The body is articulated, allowing for subtle posing and a more natural flow along the length of the dragon. It works especially well with silk, metallic, and color-changing filaments, where the crystal surfaces really start to stand out.
