Description

  • v2 version. Thicker and stronger.

My version of nozzle wiper for X1. Of course it should suits P1 model.

There is no much place to invite something new (in wipers category), but I have found something thay may make a difference: my project has rotated silicon wiper in Z axis. This small angle forces nozzle to hit columns in different ways.

I have printed it, mounted and tested. It works. If it's better than other projects - I have no idea. For me it's really enought that IT'S BETTER than original part with PTFE tube.

So:

  • print with anything other then PLA, like other wipers,
    • I have used ABS,
    • supports are needed; but after all, you have a printer that can handle it very well....
      • it's not especially important but may help:
        • print with 0.2 layer with 0.1 spacing between detail and support,
        • supports only from build plate,
  • there is a place for 3x4 fragment of wiper from A1; cut and paste in the appropriate place,
    • I have some from ali*; it comes with double-sided tape. You can also use glue (part is small and cheap - treat it as a one-off),
  • mount in place of original wiper,
  • use.

There is nothing to say more. If you have problems with other projects - try this one. It cannot be worse ;)
