Flat print Deckbox
Print Profile(3)

Description
This flat print deckbox is designed to let you emphasize the texture of your buildplate and minimize the “3d printed look”. Once printed flat, this box folds up to be half of a box. It is easiest to add designs to a single half of a box. In order to add designs that cross the halves see the note at the bottom. To create your own design attach words or designs to the bottom of the box. Make sure to remember that words will be backwards when you are looking from the top down. It is best to add the designs or words as modifiers that are about 2-3 layers thick to minimize color changes.
Assembly can be done with superglue along the grooves on the edges. Clamp the box with a rubberband while it sets. Do not use glue between the bottom and the sides as it can make it hard to completely close up the box. Leave the box open for 24 to prevent a cloudy superglue film appearing on the inside of the box. For the bottom half it is best to glue the connector in from the beginning. The chamfered edge of the connector should face up.
To allow designs to cross both halves align to halves next to each other with about 2 mm between the edges. Add the symbol to one half, and copy it to the next half. Rotate both boxes by 180 and repeat the process. Next rotate one by 90 and the other by -90, adjust them so they are 2 mm apart, repeat with a design. Lastly rotate both by 180 and add the final design.
